From Engineering to Site, Proven Solutions
At AYDINLAR DISLI & MAKINA and AYMAK CELIK, we draw on our engineering and manufacturing experience since 1986 to develop industrial plants, machinery, and power-transmission systems for various fields of heavy industry, particularly the iron and steel sector. In addition to turnkey rolling mill and steelmaking plants, we provide integrated solutions for the modernisation of existing production lines, upgrades aimed at increasing capacity and product quality, special-purpose machinery manufacturing, and plant spare parts.
Our projects are developed following a detailed evaluation of the customer’s production targets, operating conditions, existing site capabilities, and technical requirements. The finished product, target capacity, input material, operating speeds, loads, torque requirements, energy demand, maintenance access, and potential future capacity increases are considered together during the design process. Every stage—from plant layout and equipment selection to three-dimensional design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and commissioning—is planned as part of an integrated system.
Our completed projects include rolling stands, rolling mill gearboxes, flying shears, cold shears, straightening machines, movable roller tables, cooling beds, roll-changing systems, manipulators, billet charging and furnace-discharge systems, packaging equipment, drive rolls, guide systems, and auxiliary plant equipment. For steelmaking applications, we also design and manufacture continuous casting machine equipment, tundish cars, ladle cars, straightening units, and plant-specific mechanical systems.
For machinery exposed to high dynamic loads—such as gearboxes, flying shears, and rolling mill drive systems—design evaluations are not limited to nominal power and torque values. Impact loads, acceleration and deceleration times, operating frequency, service factor, shaft deflection, bearing loads, lubrication conditions, ambient temperature, and installation position are assessed together. Gear geometry, material properties, heat-treatment requirements, bearing selection, housing rigidity, and lubrication systems are determined according to these operating conditions.
Gear backlash is one of the critical design parameters of a reliable, long-service-life power-transmission system. Backlash is not arbitrarily reduced towards zero. It is optimised within the required safe range by considering the formation of an adequate lubricant film, manufacturing tolerances, shaft and housing deformation, and thermal expansion during operation. Unnecessary backlash is minimised while ensuring that the system operates without seizure, excessive heat generation, or uneven load distribution. This approach is intended to reduce vibration and noise, provide balanced load distribution across tooth surfaces, ensure efficient torque transmission, and achieve a long service life.
Our manufacturing processes utilise CNC machining centres, horizontal and vertical lathes, horizontal boring mills, gear-cutting machines, and gear-grinding machines. Large heavy-duty gearboxes, gears, pinions, shafts, gear couplings, cardan shafts, and project-specific machinery components are manufactured through controlled and traceable production processes. In addition to new manufacturing, we provide dimensional surveying of existing machinery and gearboxes, reverse engineering, redesign, spare-parts manufacturing, maintenance, refurbishment, and modernisation services.
Our quality-control activities are not limited to inspections performed at the end of production. The process begins with the review of material certificates and continues with dimensional and geometric inspections, surface-hardness and material verification, gear-profile, helix, pitch, and microgeometry measurements, assembly inspections, and the required operational tests. Measurement results and manufacturing records are evaluated and maintained in a traceable manner. Products whose compliance with technical requirements has not been verified are not accepted as ready for shipment.
The 60 t/h turnkey rolling mill plant completed for Bilecik Demir Çelik, the 60 t/h medium-section rolling mill and medium-section bundling system completed for Çağ Çelik, and the 60 t/h medium-section rolling mill completed for Çelsantaş are among the principal field references demonstrating our engineering and manufacturing capabilities. These projects were not approached as collections of independent machines. Mechanical equipment, drive systems, gearboxes, and auxiliary systems operating together across different sections of the production line were engineered and implemented through an integrated plant approach.
Every completed project is tangible evidence of our experience in design accuracy, manufacturing quality, assembly compatibility, ease of maintenance, and operational reliability. Our objective is not merely to deliver machinery or equipment, but to establish long-lasting and sustainable industrial systems that meet our customers’ production targets, operate reliably under actual site conditions, and provide manageable maintenance requirements.
